My experience with Ryder Relocation was really bad. They kept raising the price after I made the booking, delayed both pick-up and delivery way past the promised times, and never informed me about the delays. My stuff still hasn't shown up, and they won't tell me where it is. This company is untrustworthy and not professional, almost like they are stealing from you.

These movers were a huge help!! They made my move fast & easy! Everyone I talked to or met on the pick-up day was SUPER nice & professional!! I RECOMMEND these nice and friendly people to all my family and friends.

This company was fast to reply. Their movers did a great job. My stuff arrived at my new place just when I got the keys. Everything went well. I’d definitely suggest them and their movers to others.

Ryder Relocation's senior sales rep

Ryder Relocation's senior sales rep, John J Williams, stole from us during our move from Connecticut to Florida. Despite providing detailed lists twice, he quoted $2300. After paying the deposit, they claimed more charges for 301 cubic feet, demanding an extra $4000 or more. They didn't take our items and I had to leave. This is how they cheat you.

Total Scam

This is, without a doubt, the worst moving company in the world. From start to finish, my experience was a complete and utter horrific nightmare. They baited me with a low quote, only to demand a HUGE cash deposit and then they doubled the price on moving day. I had to pay double or else I would forfeit my huge cash deposit they made me pay. This was a scam of epic proportions. They essentially held my belongings hostage until I paid an extortionate amount, which was now near triple the original quote. The wait for my belongings felt like an eternity. As it took 5 times longer than the promised time. The worry, fear and anxiety this caused me was indescribable. When my items finally arrived, some were stolen, and some were damaged beyond repair. I was so disappointed, devastated and I felt Violated. Their offer of 5 cents on the dollar for the damages was a slap in the face. To make matters worse, they tried to bribe me with $50 for a fake 5-star review. This company is a disgrace and should be avoided at all costs. They should be shut down by someone. They are unethical, predatory, and downright criminal in their practices. Save yourself the horror and choose a company with Reviews of 4.2 or Higher

hey quoted us $6,300 for the move

hey quoted us $6,300 for the move, but when they arrived, it suddenly jumped to $20,000! I repeatedly mentioned I could only pay with a credit card, and they kept saying that would be fine. But when they showed up, they insisted I pay with a check that I had to date for later. They agreed, yet they’ve been saying they won’t unload until the check clears. Also, they guaranteed that everything would fit in their van, which was the tiniest moving van I’ve ever seen. I've moved many times with the Navy, and I’ve never had such a small truck. Unsurprisingly, my things didn’t fit, so they had to return another day to finish the job. To make matters worse, they didn’t complete everything! They left without packing the whole kitchen, four bathrooms, some garden statues, mirrors, a big mattress pad, and an entire closet. They claimed they ran out of boxes and wouldn’t get any more, then just left. My house was closing in two days, and I had to hire another company to finish the move when this dishonest company was already charging me $14,000 more than they quoted! I informed them I had a whole house to pack, but they still came with a tiny truck and seemed shocked when they found out I hadn't packed.

DO NOT USE RYDER RELOCATION/PRIMELINE VAN LINES

If you need or want to hire your own movers,DO NOT use Ryder Relocation or primeline moving. ( they contract together ) They quoted us one price and it was for the smallest size of each item we had in our house, got to our house and told us it would be another 3K to take the rest of our items with them and we couldn’t afford it nor could they do anything about the fact that they quoted us wrong which had us leaving literally half our house on the curb for bulk day and taking the U-Haul we could afford cross country. Fast forward to today and the movers got here again with half our things…conveniently forgot weight tickets we requested and this time they lost or gave to customers before us accidentally. All of which were very expensive ( and probably broken ) smoker, dresser with all my husbands clothes, part of our couch, half a trampoline, boxes of kids clothes, Air Force mementos, half a box spring, coffee table.. Exc And now no one’s picking up the phone.. Hopefully this helps someone.

I had a terrible experience with this dishonest company. They deceived me with a low estimate and then demanded a big deposit upfront. On the moving day, they shockingly raised the price, practically forcing me to pay twice as much or lose my deposit. They treated my valuable items poorly, as if they were worthless, and asked for a $100 tip per person to move simple things. A week later, they pressured me to pay three times the original quote and held my belongings hostage until I complied. The delivery was excessively delayed and felt endless. When I finally unpacked, I was devastated to find many items damaged, broken, or missing. This was the worst kind of scam. Their claims department offered me only a small amount for the damages, turning it into a nightmarish situation that pushed me to seek therapy for the overwhelming stress.

They start with someone polite on the phone, offering promises and guarantees, but it all goes downhill after that. No care for your belongings. Packing is chaotic—your items just tossed into boxes without protection. Glasses smashed, table legs ruined, dishes broken. Feels like they hire anyone off the street to pack. Easily the most unplesant move we’ve had out of all our relocations. And on top of it all, the cost suddenly skyrockets beyond the estimate. This company has faced legal action in Florida, and I’m pushing for a similar case in NJ. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. S T A Y A W A Y!

Ryder Relocations was an absolute disaster

Ryder Relocations was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Despite quoting me about 2.6K initially, the final cost jumped to over 4.9K due to constant misrepresentations and hidden fees. They promised a 20-foot box truck but switched to a semi-truck last minute, charging an extra $400 to deliver to my apartment. Trying to resolve these issues with customer service was pointless—they didn't care about their dishonesty. Also, a lot of my stuff came damaged, and their payout for my losses was embarrassingly low. Avoid Ryder Relocations!

The cost was totally misleading! The part of the truck sold to us couldn't even fit what was promised in the contract. On the drop-off day, we were told 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. for the delivery window. They didn’t show up and WE had to check the status. We were told "No, we meant 2-5 p.m." Again, we had to call when they didn't arrive! Awful customer service. Avoid this company. They never gave a real solution for the hassle or poor communication.

This is not a real moving company. They are a middleman that hires bad companies using rented Uhaul and Penske trucks. A lot of our stuff got dammaged or never came. On delivery day, they said the rest would come next week. That was almost a month ago. We still dont have our things.
