My son had a vehicle loan with USAA where he made all of his payments on time without any problems. After he was killed by a drunk driver, I worked with his widow to settle the loan. She wasn't on the loan but could access his account online. They gave her a hard time for days and then denied her access, putting the account in a no-pay status. They could have let her pay the loan in full as she asked, but instead, she must go through Probate and have a judge approve the matter before she can pay it off. Losing her husband was hard enough. USAA had to add to the stress, confusion, and misery. I would not suggest USAA to anyone. We’ve closed all our accounts with them.

They provide an annual auto insurance dividend in December. I've received a check by mail since we signed up in 1992, but now they don’t send checks. They emailed me a link to set up direct deposit for the dividend, but clicking it gives an error message. I called to sort it out, and after more than 30 minutes and 3 text verification messages, it still isn’t resolved. Every part of this company is broken, and their technology is the most horrible I have ever seen, even worse than the IRS.

I've mostly been satisfied with their services, but it often depends on who you talk to. The app hardly functions. Recently, a family member requested a change in their auto insurance (storing car in another state), and somehow, the agent ended up canceling MY auto insurance instead. I didn’t realize this for months, which was very upsetting to discover.

Sent one email nd one letter before cancelling my policy. No phone calls, please no text nothing. Then wanted double the previous payment to reinstate it, the quote for which they were more than willing to mg to text me. They don't care about veterans in anyway shape or form.

I was with USA for more than 30 years. It used to be a great company until they replaced service with AI. Now no one knows what is going on and give you canned answers that explain nothing. I moved everything over to another company. It is sad when a company that is supposed to support service members stops providing service.

My last experience with USAA has been disappointing. Despite expediting the shipping for a new card, they took three days just to ship it, leaving me without access to my funds for over a week. This delay is unacceptable, especially considering the urgency I expressed. It's concerning to see a decline in the level of service from a bank I once trusted.
