I have to say, my experience with the patient portal has been a bit of a rollercoaster. My provider is fantastic, so no complaints there, but the portal? That's another story. It keeps saying my provider isn't covered by my insurance, which is just plain wrong because they bill my insurance every time. My appointments? Sometimes they just vanish into thin air, no cancellation notice, nothing. Then there's the whole time zone mess—schedules in one zone but actually books in another, which really throws me off. They tried to explain it by saying the scheduling feature is only for the first appointment, but come on, it's 2026. Shouldn't the platform handle follow-ups too? It’s just frustrating.

    Dealing with Headway as

Man, dealing with Headway as a client is a real pain. Last year, I had so many billing issues with them. They messed up my billing and kept emailing me every other day, asking for more money. Reaching out to them is a nightmare since there's no phone number, and their chat bot is useless. Just to send a message, you have to scan and upload your insurance card again. It's ridiculous. This year, they charged my credit card the full "estimated" amount before even checking with my insurance. I had already met my deductible, so it should have been $28, not $133. No legit health care provider does that. Then, I'm stuck trying to contact them again, which is a hassle. As a client, it's just awful.

    I started using this company

I started using this company for therapy, and it has been a rollercoaster. Initially, their processor just didn't process anything for months, leaving me in limbo. When they finally got around to it, there was a whole mess with my insurance coverage. Communication has been all over the place between Headway and my therapist, which is super frustrating. I explained to Headway that charging me for multiple sessions on the same day would mess up my finances, but they didn't seem to care. I'm dealing with their customer service now, but surprise, surprise—I just got hit with a hefty charge for several sessions. It's been a nightmare, and it's really stressing me out. Thanks for the 'support'.

My mental health provider utilizes Headway, and the recurring issue of incorrect billing for sessions has become a constant frustration. Unlike other billing companies or providers I've engaged with, Headway consistently miscalculates my charges, deviating from the straightforward $25 co-pay that should apply. Engaging with their customer service has proven to be an unpleasant experience. The absence of a direct phone line and the unclear, possibly AI-generated or non-native English messages in the help center contribute to the overall dissatisfaction. The subpar performance of Headway as a company might even lead me to consider discontinuing my services with my mental health provider.

    I had an appointment

I had an appointment with Sandy Abdelkedous, and it wasn't the best experience. During our session, I tried to share my struggles, including a recent hospitalization and a call to the suicide hotline, but it felt like she wasn't really listening. At one point, she even left to use the restroom, which felt dismissive given the weight of our conversation. Adding to this, I missed my second appointment due to a family emergency and was shocked by a $200 cancellation fee. I wasn't informed about such a hefty charge, as the most I'd ever encountered was $50. When I asked for a refund, Sandy and the company were unhelpful and quite rude. I can't recommend this service based on my experience.

I've been dealing with Headway's support team for over a month now because of extra charges on my credit card, thanks to their billing mistake. They billed the wrong insurance, and I got hit with a $200 charge two months after I already paid. Tried to get my credit card info removed, but they just ignored me. For weeks, I’ve been begging for a call, but they only use a ticket system. I’ve opened several tickets, but they keep closing them without helping. First, they said my therapist’s license was inactive, then it was a billing error. Today, another $200 charge appeared. I’m done – disputing it with my credit card company. My therapist is leaving too, and I won’t use Headway again.

I was in a pretty bad mental health spot and booked through Zocdoc. My provider worked with Headway for insurance stuff. But, Headway kept saying my deductible wasn't met. Anthem even called them, confirmed everything was fine, and gave them a reference number, but Headway still didn’t get it right. It was super frustrating and delayed my treatment when I really needed it. It's shocking how a mental health service can be so off and rely too much on automation without checking things properly. Their inefficiency makes it hard for patients in crisis and puts providers in a tough spot too. Honestly, both patients and providers might want to look elsewhere until Headway sorts this out.

I've been working as an independent provider and also through Headway, and recently noticed a huge drop in referrals from insurance panels. Turns out, Headway changed my contact info in multiple directories to their own phone number without telling me. This sneaky move has cost me a lot of income and potential clients, and now I have to go through the hassle of fixing it. What's worse, they've turned my potential clients into "Headway clients" and made it clear that if I leave, I can't take those clients with me. These tech companies are really messing things up, not just for us providers, but for the clients too. They're getting subpar care because of shady practices like this.

    I stumbled upon this platform

I stumbled upon this platform while searching for a therapist through my insurance. Sounded perfect at first, right? Booked an appointment, but the therapist never called. Weirdly, without my say-so, I got rescheduled for the same day, just a few hours later. Guess what? No call again. Tried reaching out to support, but they were clueless about whether the mix-up was their fault or the provider's. Then, I started getting all these bizarre calls from "therapists" all over the country claiming they found me via this platform. It felt like a scam! Even my emergency contact got these calls. After just three days, I had to delete my account. Be careful with your info here, folks.

    Let me tell you about

Let me tell you about my rough time with Headway. My doctor sent me their way to find a therapist for some surgery clearance I needed. Thought it’d be smooth, but nope. The therapist they assigned to me just couldn’t get it together. They missed not one, but three appointments. The first one? A complete no-show, no heads up. Then, they mixed up the time for the second one, trying to do it 12 hours early. And as for the last appointment, I sat there in the virtual room, waiting, messaging, and nothing. They even had the nerve to charge me $100 despite their no-shows. Took time off work for this mess, and Headway hasn’t been much help. If your care is urgent, tread carefully.

    I've been seeing this psychiatrist

I've been seeing this psychiatrist for over six months, all seemed fine, they were supposed to be in-network. But now, out of nowhere, they’re out-of-network. I spent my whole morning filling out these "contact forms" to fix it, no response. Then I wasted over an hour talking to my insurance, only to find out no claims were ever filed for my sessions. Now I'm stressed thinking I might get a big bill for seeing an out-of-network provider, even though I was told they were in-network and it still shows they are. And there's no helpline to call. Now I need to find a new provider and make sure they are in-network. Gonna keep posting about this everywhere until I get a response.

I've been with Headway since last October, and everything seemed fine until now. Suddenly, six months in, they're billing me for two sessions because, apparently, they messed up filing the claims on time. It's frustrating because I should not have to pay for their mistake. I feel they should be the ones sorting this out with UMR, not me. Their support team hasn’t been helpful at all; responses are vague and seem like they’re trying to dodge responsibility. It's really disappointing to deal with such hassle when you’re just trying to get the services you signed up for. Honestly, I’d think twice before using Headway again – it’s just not worth the risk of unexpected charges.

I thought I found a good option with Headway for my healthcare needs. But turns out, they were charging me even though my insurance covers everything with no co-pay. When I realized this, I tried reaching out to them to sort it out. No response at all. It's like they vanished. It’s so frustrating because dealing with healthcare bills is already tough, and they just added to the stress. It's not just a mistake; it's bad business. Ignoring customers when they question charges is really unprofessional. I honestly felt misled, especially since this is a healthcare company where trust is crucial. If you want to avoid unnecessary stress and wasted money, steer clear of Headway.

I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with this service. They seem to charge my card whenever they want, without any warning. I’ve faced this issue multiple times, with random amounts being deducted, each time in the hundreds. When I reached out, they just blamed it on some “bugs” and I had to handle everything through email, which was a nightmare. There’s no direct way to call them, so getting my money back was a hassle. If your therapist offers other billing options, avoid using this platform. It feels like there’s some shady stuff happening behind the scenes. Seriously, keep a close eye on your card if you decide to use them, but I'd advise against it.

Man, dealing with this company was a nightmare. First, they asked for payment upfront, which seemed normal. But then, months later, they went ahead and submitted claims to my insurance without telling me. So now I got double charged and they refused to give my money back. They just kept pointing fingers at everyone else for the billing mess. I had to send them all these documents that didn't actually solve anything. Plus, trying to get in touch with them was a joke. No real phone number, just emails that take forever to get a response. And when they finally replied, it was like, "Sorry, nothing we can do." Seriously, avoid this company like the plague.

So, I went ahead with my appointments, thinking I'd just pay the usual copays. Dealing with Headway has been a real headache. They've messed up my therapy paperwork with my insurance multiple times, which led to my sessions suddenly being billed as out-of-network. This mistake has cost me an extra $75 each time. It's happened four times now, in two different clusters, with no issues in between or after those sessions. As of now, I'm still waiting on a $75 refund for an appointment from three months ago. My therapist and I have been trying to sort this out for the past two months, but it's been a constant struggle.
