    Booked a car through this company from Sharjah to Dubai Airport for 6:00 p.m. Got a message at 5:50 p.m. saying the driver was there. Went to the reception and no car. Called the driver and he was still 20 minutes away. Waited, then called again, and he said it'd be another 28 minutes. I had a flight to catch, so canceled and grabbed a taxi. Got an email saying no refund because I canceled less than 24 hours before. Tried explaining to customer service, even spoke to the manager, but they wouldn't budge. They didn’t get that it was their fault for not showing up on time. It’s only £17.00 but wanted to warn fellow travelers. This company has no ethics.

    Trip to Dubai was supposed

    Trip to Dubai was supposed to be exciting, but booking through Cartrawler via the Emirates Skywards App turned it sour. Arriving in Dubai, no driver was there to pick us up. We had to call customer service and waited for 13 minutes at 2.49€/min, only to hear that even they couldn’t reach the driver. Frustrated, we took another taxi and paid double. Filed a complaint with Cartrawler but after nearly 30 days, no feedback or refund. On our return trip, the driver was 15 minutes late. Cartrawler seems clueless about their drivers and doesn't provide updates via email or SMS. It's like a game of roulette with their service. For us, never again Cartrawler.

    I used the KLM website to book a car, not realizing it was facilitated by CarTrawler and involved a third party, Sixt. Attempting to adjust my pickup time for the second leg of my journey became a frustrating ordeal. The suggested solution of canceling and rebooking lacked clarity on the associated loss of funds. Numerous attempts to contact the provided phone numbers over five days proved futile. Sixt, uninformed due to the CarTrawler intermediary, offered no assistance via their chat bot. Only after my trip did an email response reveal an unwillingness to reimburse for a minor time adjustment. Absurd experience over a 1-hour difference.

    You know, I had this whole plan set up for my trip. Car reserved, everything good to go. But then my flight got delayed. Not just a little, like five whole hours. And when I finally touched down, it was 18:05, just five minutes past my car reservation. Thought it wouldn’t be a big deal, but turns out, those five minutes were everything. The rental company was like, “Nope, can’t help you.” Seriously? Five minutes late and that’s it? They couldn’t do anything for me, not even a little. Felt kind of stuck, honestly. It was frustrating and really threw off my plans. Maybe next time, I'll book a car with more flexible timing. Lesson learned!

    So, booking a room was a bit of a rollercoaster, you know? I reserved a spot and was supposed to pay in Norwegian NOK, but somehow it went through in Swedish SEK instead. The thing is, they didn’t even convert it; they just charged the Norwegian amount but in SEK, which ended up costing me more. Frustrating, right? I had to cancel the booking and tried again using PayPal. Thankfully, that worked, and it charged in NOK like it was meant to. But, still, I ended up losing around 500 NOK due to cancellation fees on my card. It's kind of ridiculous that such a tech issue happened. Definitely not what you expect when booking a room!

    We booked and paid for our rental car in full, expecting a smooth experience upon landing in Athens. But when we arrived, the shuttle bus driver told us our booking was canceled because we were a no-show. We were right there! We booked everything through Opodo and I can't believe how bad the service was. They had the nerve to say no refund because we didn’t show up on time, even though our flight landed at 19:45 and the car pick-up was from 10am. Nowhere did it mention a 2-hour window. We even had to chase them for a confirmation email. This is just taking people's money without providing the service. Never using them again.

    Man, dealing with Rouge Trader was an absolute nightmare. I booked a car through them for three weeks, but the car they gave me was a total wreck. It was unsafe, and we were lucky not to get into a serious accident. After their agent promised a refund, they just ghosted me. No responses to my emails, and they kept closing my support tickets saying the issue was resolved. They don't even seem to check the safety of the cars their partners provide. It's like they don't care about customer safety at all. If you don't believe me, just look up CarTrawler reviews on Google or Trip Advisor. Save yourself the trouble and stay away.

    Booked a transfer from Dubai

    Booked a transfer from Dubai Airport, but no one was there when we arrived. Our flight landed at 8am and we came through arrivals at 8:20. We tried calling the service multiple times with help from Emirates staff, but no response. Car Trawler refused to refund us, claiming the driver waited for an hour, but it was actually less than that by the time we got through customs. Very frustrating experience. Definitely wouldn't recommend using this service. The only reason I'm giving one star is because I have to select something. I wish I could give zero stars. Save yourself the hassle and find a more reliable transfer service.

    Booked a Schiller car through

    Booked a Schiller car through CarTrawler at Budapest Airport, flight got delayed on 19th November. Told CarTrawler via chat I'd be a couple hours late. Ahmed from customer service said I'd have to pay €65 to change the booking. I argued, he said he'd do it for free but then I didn't want to change it, just wanted Schiller to know I’d be late. Ahmed told me to call them myself, but I was on the plane and couldn't. He said they'd cancel my booking and offered an alternative with Klass Wagen, which I declined. Luckily, Schiller kept the car for me. Definitely booking straight with Schiller next time, no more CarTrawler.

Despite reporting the unauthorized transaction and following procedures, I'm yet to receive a refund. This situation has caused significant distress and financial strain. It's disheartening that the matter hasn't been promptly addressed. Urgent investigation and expedited refund processing are crucial to alleviate the burden I currently face.

    I booked a car rental from Dublin airport for a couple of days. Swissair directed me to this site, seemed straightforward. I went through the usual stuff, even opted for the premium insurance. Double-checked everything and hit send. Then, bam! An email saying I needed a credit card, which I didn't have – I paid with a debit card. Tried their online chat for help, but they said canceling would cost me twice the car's actual cost! I asked to speak to a manager, but they just pointed to the terms and conditions. Feels like a total scam. Can’t believe companies get away with this kind of robbery. Unbelievable.

    I recently had a terrible experience with Cartrawler and Avis. I booked a car through Cartrawler, but when I arrived at Avis to pick it up, there was an extra charge of 16,000kr on my bill. Apparently, their systems don’t communicate properly. Tried to get help from both companies, but all they did was point fingers at each other. Nobody took responsibility or tried to resolve the issue. It was frustrating and felt like they didn’t care about customer service at all. Instead of enjoying my trip, I ended up dealing with this mess. Definitely won’t be using either of them again.

    Rented a car through Car Trawler at Miami Airport, all-inclusive they said. Budget Rent a Car was the provider. Thought everything was covered in the price. Had the car for 2 weeks, returned it full tank and no damage. Then I get this random charge called NO_PCG_ITEM. No one could tell me what it's for. Filed a complaint with Car Trawler, and after 3 weeks, got a one-liner email basically telling me to get lost. Seriously, are there any honest car rental companies out there? Feels like a scam to squeeze more money out of people. Super frustrating experience.

    Don’t fall for their tricks

    I had a truly awful experience with this rental service. They seem to be running a scam. I signed a contract for a certain price, but they overcharged me anyway. It’s been over six months now, and I'm still waiting for a refund. They just ignore my requests. You can’t even contact the rental company directly if you’ve rented through them. Their customer service is practically non-existent. They set up the rental but offer no support afterwards. Save yourself the trouble and rent directly from the company. This middleman is nothing but a headache.

Imagine our shock when we arrived late at night, expecting to pick up a car, only to find out there was no car and no company. Stranded, we had no way to get to our accommodation. The worst part? Upon our return, they shamelessly peddled a string of excuses (read: blatant lies). Despite winning a court judgment against them, this unscrupulous outfit refuses to comply. A clear warning to steer clear. Save yourself the headache and opt for one of the numerous trustworthy car rental alternatives available.
