Avoid this service!

I spent $100 and got only 1 lead. There’s no way to message potential candidates, and when I reached out to customer support, I never heard back. I tried Zillow for free and got 11 inquiries, arranging 5 tours in just 4 days.

I really like Redfin. I use it every day. But their rental site, rent.com, is a different matter. Trying to list a property that’s already in my Redfin dashboard is a hassle. You’d think, since it’s a Redfin service, adding details and photos would be easy. But nope... you have to start from scratch. What’s worse is they won’t show you any pricing upfront. You have to create the whole listing, including photos and descriptions, before you can see what it costs. It feels kinda fishy, almost like a bait-and-switch. You should be able to see the prices first, choose a plan, and then make your listing. When I finally saw the prices, I decided to back out because Zillow offers nearly the same service for free, and I’ve never had any problems. So, I’ll stick with Zillow.

I had a really bad experience with this site. The prices listed are way too low compared to other listings, and it’s unclear if the apartments are even really for rent. I saw reviews saying some people are paying deposits or application fees, and that’s not right. I had set up a tour, but no one showed up. I tried calling, but it went straight to voicemail, and then I got a text saying I missed the appointment and needed to reschedule. So, I tried again, and when I arrived, no one was there again! A woman living in the building said there might not even be apartments available, and that sometimes the ads are just scams. After looking closer, I noticed all the apartments listed nearby had the same phone number and had been up for rent for years! It's not just a scam, but it’s also unsafe. I wasn’t even thinking about how risky it was to go by myself, not knowing who might actually be behind these ads.

After a few days, not a single lead came through. Curious, I went to check my own listing and created a couple of test leads. To my surprise, I got immediate responses—not from potential renters, but from two other landlords in entirely different areas, thanking me for my interest in their properties and asking for my details. Confused and frustrated, I contacted customer support to explain the mix-up. Instead of resolving the issue, they sent me a copy of their no refund policy and closed the case without any action. I tried calling their support number, only to be sent straight to voicemail. As expected, no one ever called back. I'm left wondering how I'm supposed to get any leads when my listing seems to redirect to other properties. This service has been nothing but a headache and they clearly don't care about their paying customers.

This site is filled with ads that are misleading. I called about an apartment, and the broker had no idea why his number was there. They show prices way cheaper than the real ones. After reading other reviews, it's clear I'm not alone in noticing this. Even one star feels like too mutch.

Posted a listing using this service and opted for the premium features. After several days, no leads appeared. So, I added two leads to my own listing and soon received contact from two other landlords, not local, thanking me for showing interest in their properties and asking for my details. I submitted a support case explaining the problem and received a copy of their no refund policy, with the case closed without resolution. I called their number and ended up with a voicemail and, as expected, no reply. How can I get leads if my listing points to a different property? Poor service and clear neglect for the paying customer.
