    The app does let you rent out your car, but both the website and app could use some improvements on the owner end.

    Renting through Hyrecar was a nightmare. The owner started the rental period before even notifying me, and wanted me to pick up the car late in the evening, which messed up my DoorDash schedule. When I finally got the car, the key fob was dead, so I had to wait hours for a replacement. The owner promised an extra day but never informed Hyrecar, then pressured me to extend the rental based on the hours he unfairly started. He even turned the car off via GPS in the middle of a heatwave, leaving me stranded. When I left the car, he accused me of stealing it. I had to involve the police and document everything. Hyrecar's customer service was nonexistent—one email that bounced back. Avoid them at all costs.

    I thought renting a car

    I thought renting a car through HyreCar would be convenient, but it was a disaster. I got a car with a broken headlight, got pulled over, and received a ticket. The police told me to hand the ticket to the owner, but the owner didn’t pay it. My license got suspended, and I had to cover the fines myself. HyreCar didn’t help at all and just sent generic emails claiming the issue was resolved. I tried renting another car through them, and it broke down almost immediately. The owner refused to replace the vehicle, and HyreCar wouldn’t refund my money. They just took my cash and left me stranded. I wouldn't recommend HyreCar to anyone.

    Hyrecar's service really let me

    Hyrecar's service really let me down when I needed it the most. I returned my rental almost three weeks ago, and since my state requires a deposit, I've been waiting for the refund way past their promised 2-10 day period. Their help desk is useless. They only seem to respond if I'm extending my rental. For instance, I got an extension notification and then suddenly a response to a ticket I sent two days earlier. I'm going through a tough divorce, and Hyrecar was supposed to be my last hope to keep driving for Uber. It’s frustrating and disappointing to deal with such poor service when you’re already struggling.

    I had such a horrible experience with this company. They charged me $250 to replace a key, which is just insane. I wasn’t feeling well and asked them to pick up my car. The owner didn’t even tell me when he was coming, so I could’ve just left the key inside. Instead, I’m stuck without a car and still have the key. On top of that, they slapped me with a $60 cleaning fee just because I left my boots in the car. Seriously? So, my total bill came to $330. I’m definitely leaving bad reviews everywhere and disputing these charges with my bank. This is just unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs!

    Man, dealing with HyreCar was a nightmare. I had login issues for six whole days and couldn't make a payment. Sent them screenshots of the error, as they asked. They promised on a recorded call that I'd get a refund for the late fees once I paid them first. So I did, then reached out for my refund. Instead, I got emails saying they tried to contact me but got no response, which is a lie. I tried getting a supervisor involved, but no luck even after two weeks. Now they're saying no refund. This whole thing feels like a scam. Don't rent from them, seriously.

    I tried to get my proof of residence verified and it was a nightmare. Uploaded the documents three times, called them, emailed them. Then, they asked for a different set of documents. Like, seriously, just for residency? I even uploaded my ID and took a verification photo. Their setup is bad, communication is worse, and they can't seem to verify anything with the documents I already sent. And guess what? They replied to my review but didn't fix the issue I'd been emailing them about repeatedly. It's just frustrating and a complete waste of time.

    Man, dealing with this company was a total nightmare. I thought I was renting a car, but ended up with nothing but frustration. They can't seem to keep scammers off their site, and I got caught up in it. Paid for a car that never showed up, and now I'm stuck waiting for a refund that seems like it'll never come. It's impossible to tell who's worse, the company or the people using it. I feel like I got scammed twice. Never using them again, and I definitely don't trust them or anyone they work with. Total disaster.

    I had such a frustrating experience with this company. Their support team is basically non-existent; trying to get a response is like talking to a wall. They even charged my bank account without my permission, which is just crazy. I rented a car from December 13th to 15th, but somehow they decided to extend my rental without asking me. It was a total mess, and dealing with them was a nightmare. Felt like they just don’t care about their customers at all. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Avoid if you can!

    The experience began with weird message

    So, the experience began with this weird message asking what went wrong this time, almost like they expect problems. Anyway, dealing with Upstate Homes LLC was a nightmare. The host suddenly jacked up the price just before I arrived to pick up the car. He demanded $100 via Zelle or CashApp, saying it was for tolls. Seriously? It felt like a total scam. To top it off, his attitude was awful and came off as racist. This was too much. I'm done with this app, deleting it for good.

    I had a terrible experience

    I had a terrible experience with HyreCar recently. My driver damaged my car and it's been almost two months now, but I still haven't received any compensation. To make matters worse, I had to spend my own money to tow the car from the driver's place. It's really frustrating and disappointing. This company doesn't seem to care about their customers at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use their services. Just stay away and save yourself the headache.

    Look elsewhere!

    Man, what a nightmare. I was getting ripped off left and right with these guys. Payments were just disappearing, and I swear someone was pocketing my money. I realized I didn't need their services anyway. If you're looking for long-term rentals, there are definitely better options out there. Plus, their clients were overcharging me on top of everything else. Seriously, stay away from this company. Not worth the hassle or the headache. Look elsewhere!

    The WORST!!!!!! Customer service is awful! If you choose to return the car and finish the contract, which is an OPTION, they will scare you with threats of reporting it as a STOLEN VEHICLE. I got charged a cleaning fee 30 days AFTERWARDS on a rental where a kid was the middleman for the actual rental! HYRECAR is terrible, the car was bad too, and the kid was just as bad..CUSTOMER SERVICE in the US has really gone downhill! Daf
