Santander is helping us finance our Tesla. Unlike some other banks, they saw our high credit scores as a sign that we are good borrowers. A few banks said no because of an unlucky AT&T data leak that showed some of my husband's private info. Setting up autopay to make sure we pay the loan on time was very simple and quick!

After staying in Marseille for a few months, like we always do, we couldn't access our online banking. They offered no assistance to help us log in, and there were no technical supports or free phone numbers to call for aid.

Got my first car through

Got my first car through this bank and was pretty happy until I needed to switch to an all-wheel drive. Figured it would be no problem since I already had a loan with them. They told me I was approved, so I was ready to pick up the new car. But then, out of nowhere, the dealership calls me up five days later saying the bank changed its mind and wouldn’t do the loan. I mean, what’s up with that? How do you go from yes to no like that? It’s super frustrating, especially when you need a reliable car to get to work. The interest rates are just nuts. I’m paying $20,000 for an $11,000 car. That’s almost double! When I started looking for a new loan for the all-wheel drive, I found one with way better terms. The car itself is pricier, but I’m saving $3000 in interest. So, in a weird way, it was a blessing that the bank bailed on me. Still, it’s really unprofessional to leave someone hanging like that, especially when it’s about something as important as a car loan. I’m definitely going to shop around for a different bank next time. It’s not worth the hassle or the crazy high interest rates. If you’re thinking about getting a loan here, you might want to think twice.

This company is not a good choice for car loans.

This company is not a good choice for car loans. I know someone who is having major issues with them. Even when you make your payments on time and add a little extra each month, they don't acknowledge the extra payments. They keep claiming you’re behind. This person was at the end of their loan, and shockingly, they still owe money even though it was supposedly paid off, and it wasn't due to interest. Santander has caused a lot of trouble for this person throughout the whole loan period. I suggested getting a lawyer. I wouldn’t work with them or take a car loan from them. They seem untrustworthy and dishonest.

Awfully poor Customer Support.

Awfully poor Customer Support. They grabbed the wrong VIN number for my account, making it nearly impossible to reach a person in Customer Support to fix this big legal issue. DREADFUL. I waited two times for more than 30 mins on hold only to get disconected.
