Ever had a travel nightmare?

Ever had a travel nightmare? I booked tickets to Tallahassee, FL last minute, only to find out they weren't guaranteed. To make matters worse, my flight was changed, and I lost my rental car reservation. It was a complete mess, and now I feel like I deserve some of my refund back. It's just not fair.

Scam site. Don't give your card info.

So, I found this site through a booking site. Saw a 1 way economy flight from my town for $298. I went through them, finished the purchase and within minutes I got a call from a "supervisor" Letting me know that there was something wrong, that the ticket I paid for was actually not an econ flight, that it was a "Restricted economy" despite there being no warning on the site about it. I asked what "Restricted economy" meant, he explained that it meant it wasn't a ticket, and that I was a standby for the flight because it was "Overbooked". He proceeded, without inquiry, telling me about other options that were OVER DOUBLE the price that I had already paid in order to continue through the airport I thought I was already booked for as well as slightly cheaper options in other airports. I said I did not want another more expensive flight. Nor could I go to another airport, because of lack of transportation. I asked if I could just get refunded because the issue was on their end for allowing me to book an overbooked flight. And given the fact that they called me immediately after, they had to have known about it. He said they do not offer refunds, though a credit of the $298 would be added to any bookings made through them within a year period. Feeling already scammed, I decided to eat the loss and look at rental cars to drive, one way, to my destination instead and maybe use that credit eventually. With no luck, it became more and more likely I would have to fly. Without wanting to pay even more money trying to book through someone else. I figured I would just go ahead and use this credit. I called them back a couple hours later and was again directed to this same supervisor. I told him that I wanted the cheapest flight in the next town over because I could not find a rental car that would allow me to travel that far one way. He found a match and began telling me how much it would be, "$549". He said he sent me some emails to confirm. I was floored by this price as it was even more expensive than the initial payment. At this point I told him I wanted to wait to go through with it because I wanted weigh other options and asked if I could call him back (given the fact that I was already scammed out of $298 now being faced with paying even more money..) He began getting frustrated and asking me questions as to why and then saying that its too late, that he already submitted everything and already booked the flight. (Within a minute) He sent me an email with the price and he said you need to respond to the email with confirmation to confirm your name is spelled correctly. I asked how it was possible for it to have already been processed if I haven't even confirmed anything yet with him and it doesn't make any sense? He said I confirmed it when I called him and told him to book the flight in the next town over. Though, I never told him I was satisfied with the pick OR the price. He proceeded with "What doesn't make sense is you call me and tell me to book the flight and now you don't want it after I book it", stating how he went out of his way to do this for me because it was the last seat on the flight and that he got me a good deal, being really argumentative. I told him that I didn't feel comfortable confirming anything through email yet because of the first interaction where they took my money for a flight, but didn't even get a ticket, and how would I be sure if he wasn't going to pull the same thing and not give me a ticket for the flight. He got even more defensive saying he's trying to help me, that its not like that and that he's a supervisor that he's not hanging up the phone on me and that I need to send a confirmation email because I would not get refunded and was already charged and if I didn't I would not get the ticket and even went as far as saying "this phone call is recorded if anyone is going to be in trouble for not confirming its you because its already processed because you told me to". At this point, there was a charge on my card of $188 from Alaska air lines. Knowing I was already getting charged for something, and with what he was telling me, I was pressured into just sending an email saying "Please proceed" (Probably a huge mistake) As he asked. After I sent the email he asked for, he provided me with the rest of the flight information, that was screen shotted, cropped and put into his personal email to me. And was soon charged the $360 difference to my card. I was incredibly displeased and began to wonder why that only went through after I sent the email. I continued on the phone with him and I asked him if this was the actual ticket and he said that I could confirm it if I wanted. And to prove to me that it was, asked if I wanted to see the email directly from the air line. I did, and so it was sent, along with the receipt of the flight... $188... I asked why it was $188 and not the $549 he quoted me. He got defensive again and claimed that it was because my credit was applied and such. He tried to assure me he was working in good faith, and even gave me a "coupon" to use them again. As to not seem shady... He really wanted me to feel like I wasn't scammed and kept asking if i was satisfied that i got the ticket. I kept responding with an unenthusiastic "Yeah, mhm" to all the bull crap he was giving me. Which was probably another mistake. After the phone call looked for myself at Alaskan airlines. The tickets were $188 and had plenty of seats for that flight... So not only was my credit NOT applied to the ticket, but It was cheaper than the first flight I booked. I canceled the flight and filed a dispute and locked my card.

File in small claims

They have 2 very big problems. First they advertise one price no where on the page they give you does it say stand by only... But when booking it they have a clock that makes it impossible to read the terms and conditions. Because of the high pressure sales tactics of a count down to get this price and filling out the paperwork that is reasonable, takes at least 7 or 8 minutes. They know you can not read the other page. They believe this will protect them from law suits. In cases that are not small claims it might. But in small claims court they can not legally send a lawyer in most states they have to send a CEO or other Executive. Their second major legal issue is that they are practicing in bait and switch. they say they are booking a flight they are not. You clicking book it is just telling you that they plan to take your money and give you the option to upgrade to a booking after the fact for more then the other sites offer. So most states small claims are up to $5000. My suggestion is sue them. It is a pain in the butt but most companies will not even try to fight a small claims case because it cost them more to fight then to pay you. So let them pay for your flight or at least the upgrade costs on the day of travel. With enough of us doing that they will either fix their deceptive business practices or go out of business entirely.

Don't Trust this Company! You will pay up to 3 times what you booked flight for!

**Alert** If I could give a 0 I would. This company is horrible and they state they are a travel agency who only wants to help book a flight for me. Don't trust any prices you are given online as it will be up to 3 times higher! Do not try to book with this company. They will give you a cheap price to book & in the fine print it states "Note: * All Fares displayed are quoted in USD and inclusive of base fare, taxes and all fees. Additional baggage fees may apply as per the airline policies. Some flights displayed either may be for flexible dates or nearby airport(s)." Trust me it will be flexible date, nearby airport AND A Higher Priced Ticket! The ticket I was quoted was 3 times the original Price I paid for and an airport 95 miles away from my location. DONOT trust them! I haven't received a confirmation because I would not agree to a price hike or a change of airport! I did advise them that I would be fighting the charges to my card & after 5 hours of arguing with different agents & the manager states "You will be fighting for months to get your money back!" I ended up hanging up as the manager wanted to transfer me back to my original agent since he couldn't help me and was a male talking over me and I asked if he knew what customer service was all about as he was always defensive when I gave him a logical answer to his prices of no I will not accept the higher prices and I would only accept the price I paid and a flight that would leave on the same date. Whew this has been an experience and don't wish this torture on anyone else.

Buyers Beware!

After FoggyFly sent me a confirmation of my booking, a guy named Eddy called to tell me that the price quoted was only available for one ticket (I had purchased 3) and I would have to pay $300 more for the other 2. I told him no. I told him to cancel the other 2. He told me they were noncancellable. I then told him that he could either cancel all 3 tickets, or I would just dispute the charge with my credit card company. He called me back a couple hours later, and told me that he could confirm all 3 tickets for an additional $72 each. I reminded him that he had told me that one of the tickets had already been confirmed at the original quote, so I should only have to pay an upcharge for 2 tickets, but that was not the case. He wanted an additional $218 to complete the ticket order that I had already placed. While this total would have been cheaper than booking elsewhere, I don't trust these guys, so I refused. I insisted that he cancel the order. I then went online with my cc company, confirmed that the charge had not yet gone through, and locked the card to prevent any further charges from these guys. Beware of this company and their snakey business practices.

ABSOLUTELY UNRELIABLE

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. ABSOLUTELY UNRELIABLE. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience was with this company. They not only booked flights that I explicitly did not agree to, but they also resorted to deceitful tactics by forging documents to falsely claim my consent. The level of dishonesty and illegality in their actions is beyond unacceptable. Furthermore, their customer service is a complete sham. Despite their promises that a supervisor would reach out to address the issue, no such call materialized. It's evident that their claims of resolving matters are nothing more than a smokescreen to cover up their shady practices. Attempting to rectify the situation, I requested a rebooking of my flight, only to be met with the absurd demand of purchasing an additional ticket. This is nothing short of a blatant scam. Trusting this company is a grave mistake, and I strongly advise anyone considering their services to steer clear. Your time, money, and peace of mind are far too valuable to be jeopardized by such an untrustworthy and deceptive organization.

Don't use Froggyfly! Disreputable business

I tried to book a flight online using their services. They let me know that it would be 24 hours before the tickets were confirmed. Then I got phone call a few minutes later. They told me that they had not confirmed my tickets because my flight was highly restricted. He proceeded to tell me that I couldn't cancel, not bags included, no seat selection, etc. I didn't need any of those options so I was fine. Then he said he needed confirmation verbally from me before he could book my tickets because if the airline cancelled my tickets I also would not receive a refund. So I told him no, I would not agree to that and to not book my tickets since he hadn't booked them yet. Then he told me that he couldn't because my tickets were non-refundable. So this is basically a scam. Its been 30 minutes since I placed my order online. I'm obviously not going to agree to pay for tickets that they nor the airline has any responsibility to honor. Trying to get the representative with a heavy accent to understand me yet alone do as I was asking was insane. Just save yourself the hassle and avoid ever dealing with this dishonest company.

Scam Ticketing Operation

My wife and I booked an international flight through foggyfly.com. Initially we got a really good price, but the email we received said the flight and price was not confirmed until the flight had been booked by foggyfly.com. This is when the scam started. When I had not heard back after a couple of hours, I called their 888 number to get a status update. I was told that one ticket had been issued, but the ticket for my wife could not be issued at the quoted price and the price total price was going to be over $1000 more (nearly a 50% increase). I then told them to cancel the reservation and was told the ticket for me was already issued (and my credit card charged) and could not be cancelled and I would have to take flight voucher from the airline. I argued with the "agent" for several minutes and then told him to put a supervisor on the line. He refused to do this and continued to argue with me about cancelling the flight. Long story short, I ended the conversation figuring I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. Turns out I did not have to do that as my credit card was never charged. Turns out this whole episode was just an elaborate scam to try and get me to pay much more for the tickets. You have been warned about Foggyfly.com!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST TRASH COMPANY

If I could give less than 1 star I would. STAY AWAY!!! Same as what others have posted- booked tickets which were without luggage- even tho this wasn't stated anywhere. Then was told to get luggage have to rebook for a different date- price immediately goes up. Turns out the rebooked tickets only offer the OPTION to buy luggage- the price increase didnt actually include the purchase of luggage. And when they changed my flight it turned out to be with a 7.5 hour layover even tho I asked the agent- these are the same length of flight as the ones I had previously. Was told CONSTANTLY someone would return my call- WAS NEVER CALLED BACK. All around was interrupted constantly by agents and experienced some of the most antagonistic and manipulative "customer service" ive ever experienced. Literal NIGHTMARE.

Wow, what a bait and switch

So I have been searching for flights to fly and see my kids, Found similar flights and decided to check around. FoggyFly offered approximately $100 less, great booked it. 2 minutes later they are calling saying you know you only booked a standyby flight with no carry on, no bag. Well all said and done, $200 additional and I got the same flight I could have had with Alaska for only $100 more than they would have charged directly. Moral of the story, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is.

This company is not trustworthy. They take your money and then demand more the next day for luggage and other fees. They're not based in the US, and they're scamming people with their flight deals. Be careful when dealing with them.

Totally dishonest and a definite scam

When I found the flights and was about to book and pay, they advertised one price. NO WHERE on that page did they state the airfare was stand by only AND you could not take any carry on or checked luggage. I called asking for my record locator and it was then that they said fare was non refundable, non changeable, STAND BY ONLY being confirmed 4 hours before flight departure and no luggage could be taken - at all. They then offered to confirm WITH luggage for over USD $350 more. Deceitful, misleading and a waste of time. They have since called me 14 times trying to confirm the ticket, HARASSMENT! Quite a few of the calls were flagged in RED as SUSPECTED SCAM on my phone. This company needs to be shut down before anyone else is scammed.

I'm very disappointed with

I'm very disappointed with the service I received from this company. I wouldn't even give it one star if I had the choice! I recently booked a flight from LA to Killeen, Texas, and received an email from a representative named Richard for a callback. Upon calling them back, they informed me that they couldn't confirm my flight and suggested a non-stop flight to Austin for the same price, even though it's 70 miles away from my destination. When I expressed my refusal to go to Austin, they shifted the blame to American Airlines, claiming only main cabin seats were available, and the prices had increased. This feels like a complete scam! I insisted on canceling the booking and made it clear that I would be filing a formal complaint.

Air ticket

I booked my air ticket, I got a confirmation number then I got an e-mail "Call back request " from Bernard who let me know this ticket only a" standby" option I have to pay besides my $ 748,24 an EXTRA $ 770.00 to get my e-ticket The booking site did not show any information about this "standby" options but he said no cancellations, no REFUND The new ticket completely different flight and he did not send me the details, he sent me the departure and return times with 2 stops to Europa and Back No small package was allowed just my purse I e-mailed back to him to ask about the flight details but never got any answer. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE FLOGGYFLT I Canceled my reservation!

I was shocked to learn that the trip I booked didn't include any luggage, not even a purse. When I contacted them, Adam assisted me in securing an alternative flight, though it required leaving two days earlier. I wasn't pleased with the situation, especially when he mentioned there isn't much to do in Florida. As a Michigander hoping for sun and warm weather, it felt like my vacation suddenly became more costly, and it seemed like he didn't care about ensuring I got what I wanted.

SCAM

This site is a total scam. Their contact numbers don't work neither does the email. The way they conduct business is very suspicious! Had to cancel my CC because of them. They only use cheap options to lure you but then you have additional fees to be incurred. I thought as they were on a Trustpilot site, they would be reliable but it's a SCAM, AVOID AT ALL COST!

No Seat Guarantee

This is a stand by flight, meaning you aren't guaranteed seat, if there is an open seat 2 hours before take off then you get the seat. You also don't get baggage and it can't be refunded, luckily you can pay the difference to a refundable ticket price without the refundable guarantee

Scam - Mandatory "extras"

I bought tickets from Brazil to the US for my mom and after 2 days I called them because I hadn't received my confirmation yet. When I called the person started asking me if I needed any bag, and I said no. Then she asked if I knew I couldn't cancel or change the flight, and I said yes. Then she started saying that to complete the reservation, I had to pay $500 extra (I paid $800 for the whole trip) to reserve a seat because if I didn't pay this, they couldn't issue my ticket. Then she said she would try to find another flight for me and, in the end, would cost $400 plus. I tried to find this information everywhere, including on their website and e-mail, but there was nothing. Then I asked her to cancel everything, and she said she couldn't do it because the tickets were issued and they are non-refundable (ps: she had said 5 minutes before that she couldn't issue them because I didn't have a seat reservation, which would cost $500). Don't buy anything with them. They put the price very low, you buy, don't receive any confirmation, then when you call them to check, they try to charge you more, and in the end, you need to pay more than you would if you had bought in a reliable website. I learned my lesson and will never do business with them again.

scam

I booked a flight form Melbourne FL to atlanta Ga for $208.00 was sent an email that someone would call to confirm. Within 1 hour Alice called me talking very fast with thick accent stating they can only confirm my returning flight and could not take any luggage or pay at the airport. I asked to cancel my flight she said it was non refundable. Then offered me she could confirm that flight and include the luggage if I paid an additional 228.00 . I asked for a supervisor was told they were all in meetings. I told her I would call my bank and cancel the charge she kept arguing with me so I hung up. That same day she called me 7 more times. The next day 8 more calls from various numbers. The 3rd day 9 more calls and I finally answered. She started talking fast trying to give me other offers I finally yelled at her and told her I told Delta what they did and reported it to the better business bureau and if she called me again I would get her for harrasment.

BAIT AND SWITCH!
Edited

First of all, I was already confused when I thought I booked my flight but they stated it wasn’t official until they called me. I spoke to the representative and my flight went from $378 to $400+ AND it wasn’t even for the dates I wanted. He then proceeds to ask for my ID and to send it via email. Excuse me, what? At this point, already frustrated because I can’t understand him and I don’t know what’s going on, I told him to NOT book/confirm my flight. I can tell by his tone he was getting agitated. Even had the nerve to condescend me by saying “don’t you ever travel. You don’t know how traveling works?”. After going back and forth with this guy, “Eddy”, he finally hangs up on me. He then proceeds to call me, over, and over, and over again. I’ve had to block 10 different phone numbers already. He also emailed me and addressed me by a whole other name!! It was just all too suspicious. Now I have to keep an eye out on my bank statement.

Nightmare book experience.

This website for booking airline tickets provided a dismal experience. Initially, I booked tickets only to find out later that I was placed on standby, with no prior notification. When attempting to confirm the tickets, I was asked for additional payment, adding unexpected expenses to my travel plans. Even worse, despite my attempts, they refused to cancel my booking under any circumstances. This lack of transparency, additional charges, and uncooperative customer service make it impossible for me to recommend this website to others. Proceed with caution if considering booking through this platform.

Avoid Foggyfly for booking flights!

Avoid Foggyfly for booking flights! The experience was a nightmare. After entering my debit card details, I expected an immediate confirmation, but they used bait-and-switch tactics, claiming my original flight was sold out and offering a pricier alternative. Despite debiting my account, no confirmed flight was in place. Resolving this mess took 5 days of frustrating calls and endless hold times. I eventually received confirmation, but the ordeal wasn't worth the supposed savings. Stick to airline websites to save both time and money—Foggyfly.com is not worth the hassle.

This online platform turned out to be an absolute letdown. My advice? Steer clear of it at all expenses. Don't even think about making a reservation here. Not only did they fail to secure any bookings for me, but their attempt to inflate flight costs left a bitter taste. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this deceptive website! In my attempt to seek assistance, I shot off an email to the provided booking support address, desperately seeking an immediate response. Shockingly, the email bounced back, claiming the address was invalid.

THE PERSON ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LINE WAS POLITE BUT HE SAID THAT THEY WOULD KEEP THE MONEY BECAUSE IT SAID IT WAS A PROMOTION TO WHICH I SAID THAT I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING ON THEIR WEBSITE SAYING IT WAS A PROMOTION. This is just a horrendous experience -- them TELLING ME -- you MUST do ... no I must not do anything. Firstly - as a polyglot - these people don't speak any version of understandable English - and when I ask them to slow down, they just take offense. I didn't understand the person speaking = they just get angry when you ask to repeat. I told him I don't wish to do business and the reply was TOO LATE we have your information already --- SCAMMERS -- AVOID THEM

Foggyfly is a scan with their discounted ticket promises

Just bought a flight with a discount, payed with my credit card and they just charged it and called me half an hour latter saying that my flight was not confirmed and that to confirm I would have to pay extra that would take my ticket above the normal marked price. Total planned scan. I have asked for them to cancel it and they said it was not refundable. Totally against the law. I had to cancel my card to get my money back. DO NOT FALL FOR THAT.
