So just to let you know, I’m not too far from a N4
So just to let you know, I’m not too far from a N4 level in Japanese and I spent three months in a language school with a Japanese family. My pronunciation is quite good. I think the concept of this app is good, but the problem is that the voice recognition is very poor, whether on PC, tablet, phone, or with earphones or microphone. I pronounce every exercise very well, but the results are often wrong, even though my pronunciation is the same as the exercise. The second issue is that I started as a beginner and then quickly increased the level, but nothing changed. 15 minutes to learn easy stuff. I just want sentences, but I’m forced to break down each word sound by sound. That might be fine for a beginner, but I’ve already reached intermediate level. In short, if you know some basics of Japanese and have some vocabulary, avoid this app and train with podcasts. I recommend the (BUSUU) app instead, it’s much better and cheaper. Very disappointed with Rosetta Stone. The only app I’ve had problems with regarding my microphone, which works perfectly fine.
