My husband booked a car rental and paid a deposit of 170 euros online for our holiday in Portugal. We were supposed to collect the car in Faro but on arrival we were told that they would not take my husband’s credit card as the card did not have his full name on it, just his initials and surname. We had passports and other cards to identify ourselves and other forms of payment but they would not accept any other form of payment and cancelled our booking. They also refused to give our deposit back. It was a bizarre experience. We had to leave and rented a car from Europcar. Would not recommend. Terrible customer experience.

The Skoda Octavia we booked wasn't there at the KW car park, but they gave us a bigger car class for free. The car had only 6 km, brand new. Paperwork took less than 7 mins, which was nice ;). I'd recommend and use them again.

Car rental was budget-friendly, decent car, good service. But, suggest taking excess waiver insurance. Had a tire issue, no spare or jack, cost €308 for help. WhatsApp comms were quick, shuttle was useful.
