Discover how effortless car rental can be with Flexcar.

Discover how effortless car rental can be with Flexcar. Initially skeptical, I found the process seamless from start to finish. The car arrived at my doorstep in pristine condition, looking like new. The app is a game-changer—it provides real-time updates on mileage and allows unused miles to roll over, ensuring maximum flexibility. Plus, at the end of each month, you can easily swap your car for another.

Shocking scam alert!

Shocking scam alert! I thought I found a gem with this company, but I was dead wrong. They advertised my car as a limited edition – guess what? It’s not. The car screen? Totally busted. They promised a fix and a credit for the miles until then. Two weeks later, I’m still chasing them. And the refer-a-friend code? Non-existent, despite their assurances. I’ve wasted countless hours on calls, going back and forth with zero results. Oh, and that 100 free miles code I added? Never saw it. Don’t be duped like I was. Trust me, this company is nothing but a scam. Avoid at all costs!

Imagine this: You've been a loyal customer since 2021, making every payment on time

Imagine this: You've been a loyal customer since 2021, making every payment on time. Flash forward to 2024, and the company offers a plan upgrade with the promise of great rates for long-term members. Sounds fantastic, right? Well, think again. I saw the upgrade option over a month ago and reached out immediately. The new plan showed charges on June 13th and then again on the 20th—clearly not monthly. They promised a resolution within 24-48 hours. It's now July 4th, and I'm still waiting. They even saved a previously deleted card and charged it without my consent. When I called about the upgrade, they blamed a small balance of $89.40, which I paid immediately. Yet, the upgrade option vanished. Despite multiple calls, there's no resolution. If you value your time and money, beware! This hassle is not worth it. Save yourself the frustration and think twice before committing.

Terrible experience overall. The mandatory

Terrible experience overall. The mandatory annual membership fee is a major drawback. The trial period is misleading as canceling within two weeks means surrendering the rented car. Opted for pay-as-you-go, but got charged for an additional 200 miles twice, despite photographic evidence sent to support. Promised audit never happened. Refund only materialized after persistent follow-ups post-vehicle return. The sole positive aspect was the punctual and courteous car drop-off and pickup personnel. Won't consider their services in the future.

This car service is undeniably user

This car service is undeniably user-friendly, providing convenience. Yet, undisclosed and exorbitant fees, like the unanticipated $199 charge for switching cars, are a major downside. The inexplicable $199 cleaning fee, even on the initial transaction, raises eyebrows. Such unpredictable charges may steer one towards reconsidering ownership or leasing options.

In my quest for sensible bargains

In my quest for sensible bargains over the years, stumbling upon Flexcar stands out as a game-changer. Using it for several months has brought immense satisfaction, casting doubt on the viability of returning to traditional car ownership. The service is straightforward, hassle-free, and budget-friendly, making us content Flexcar customers.

NO pre-car inspection protocol left me responsible for damage

Flex Car guy came, assured me they were aware of the chips on the paint, other damage, etc. He was talking to me as I inspected the vehicle and he must have preoccupied me because this car was in an accident and I didn’t even see the damage until 4 hours later. THERE was NO checklist or inventory paperwork of damage prior to my taking possession of it. When I asked questions the guy said his boss was calling, which I suspect was more opportunity for him to distract me. He eventually read off a statement that he asked me if I agreed to. I am not sure if I even consented to being recorded but he recorded me saying there was no damage and that damage that was on the car was “already noted and I won’t be responsible.” I asked for a copy of what I electronically signed off on and the guy said he didn’t have one, so I asked for an email. No email until I emailed the company looking for one. I was not even given insurance paperwork but told to take a picture with my phone on the paperwork. When I printed out photo, Staples couldn’t make the photo readable. I had to write in the phone number, and there was not even a vin number included. I’m disabled so my state Atty. General will have a field day with them if necessary. Unfortunately I may be without a vehicle. I may just say it’s fine, use the car as long as I need it, and turn it in w/AG office knowing about the issue and the fact that there is NO PRE-INSPECTION PROTOCOL for FLEX CAR like U-Haul has. It’s just so wrong, and if you look deep into the reviews I’m not the only person they did this to.

I'm currently in the process

I'm currently in the process of swapping out a car that was delivered damaged and reeking of smoke. The customer support team is insisting that I take time off work to address the issue, as they claim their team didn't notice the damage during inspection, seemingly trying to pin it on me. However, I immediately noticed and pointed out the damage to the person delivering the car, who acknowledged it and documented it with photographs. Despite this documentation, they refuse to acknowledge the pre-existing damage and vehicle condition. I've repeatedly asked them to contact the drop-off person who noted the issues, but they won't. Based on previous reviews, I fear they might attempt to charge me for the damage and force me to take personal time to deal with problems clearly their fault. If these issues aren't addressed promptly, I'm considering involving an attorney, as it's frustrating that their customer support has proven so unhelpful.

Much better than buying a used car

I was about to pull the trigger on a used car when a friend mentioned Flexcar. The idea of getting into a 6-year loan (with high interest payments) to a possibly unreliable used car wasn't sitting right with me. Decided to try Flexcar which ended up being a great decision – there's no down payment, and it's month-to-month, so I can walk away anytime if I need to. Nice having the option to return or swap my car out but also just to keep my current car for as long as I want (price is lower than what the used car would've been – and insurance and maintenance comes included in the monthly cost, so I didn't have to go price shopping for that / worry about any surprise bills that could arise if my car has an issue)

Overall, the service was decent and got

Overall, the service was decent and got the job done for what I needed short-term. Although there were a few minor issues, I would consider using them again. Comments and Suggestions: • The car wasn’t as clean as I would have liked, with smudges on the windshield both inside and outside. • The extra membership fee of over $200 added after a few weeks felt a bit surprising. Maybe include it upfront instead? • Including spouses as part of the standard rental fee would be more convenient, rather than charging for another driver. • A paid service to pick up the car after use would be helpful, instead of having to drive it back myself, especially since it was quite far from where I stayed.

FlexCar has proven to be a game-changer

FlexCar has proven to be a game-changer in simplifying my driving life. The relief from the financial burden of insurance, maintenance, and other car-related expenses is unparalleled. Opting for a long-term rental with FlexCar provides a stress-free experience with predictable monthly costs, inclusive of services like oil changes, roadside assistance, and insurance. The newer, reliable car, coupled with excellent customer service, adds to the overall satisfaction. Despite initial suspicions, the reality of one comprehensive monthly expense without the hassle of contracts or surprise costs has made FlexCar a valuable and convenient choice for hassle-free driving.

The delivery was satisfactory, but

The delivery was satisfactory, but improvements are needed in adhering to the guaranteed schedule, causing inconveniences. Manual payment options are lacking, relying on them to initiate transactions. The membership fee should cover vehicle swaps without additional charges, with a reasonable limit. Plate discrepancies make customers feel like outsiders; state fees should align with residency. Despite these concerns, the car itself is impressive, yet the high monthly cost of $900 feels exorbitant. In hindsight, better awareness of these issues would have influenced a different decision.

My Flexcar delivery driver was very communicative

My Flexcar delivery driver was very communicative, knowledgable, and helpful. I had another car subscription before, and they delivered the car on a tow truck, which made me worry about finding a spot to unload my Flexcar in my busy neighborhood. Luckily, the delivery driver simply drove the car to me, and a coworker picked him up in another car. It would be useful if the website/emails had more details about the delivery process so that customers know what to expect. Apart from this small detail, the delivery was a very smooth experience! I’d recommend Flexcar to my friends!

Flexcar seems like a cool concept and

Flexcar seems like a cool concept and they make it pretty easy to get one. The downside is my car has been making rattling sounds since day one and I have to take it to the shop or pay $199 to swap it. It's a hassle because the shop is 45 minutes away. The mileage adds up fast and I'm not sure if it's worth it anymore. What's good is you get service, insurance, and car washes included for $249 a year. Swapping cars isn't easy though, and you'll get charged even if you go to their hub. But overall, it's cheaper than regular car rentals without a down payment or ownership hassle.

I had a really bad experience

I had a really bad experience with Flexcar. They insisted on credit cards, not debit cards. I don't get it – as long as you have a job, direct deposit, and make payments, it should be fine to use a debit card. When I first applied, it allowed me to use my Chime Credit Card, and it let me add my card. But then, someone stole my credit card, so I had to order a new one. Now, it won't accept my card. So I never got the chance to book a vehicle. It's frustrating because I'm shelling out thousands with Enterprise. I thought I could save some bucks. OMG

I think this flex car service is a great option for

I think this flex car service is a great option for people who may not have perfect credit and are looking for a newer, dependable car. The only downside is the lack of an unlimited mileage plan, which is really disappointing. It feels like you have to constantly worry about going over the limit, and if you do, the extra fees they charge are pretty high. It’s just not right. If they could improve the way they handle mileage, they would be a lot more popular. I’m considering returning my car just because of the mileage limits!

My interaction with the customer care

My interaction with the customer care representative was okay. While I appreciate the appearance of the truck I received, there are some notable issues. The vehicle carries a distinct smell of weed, and there is noticeable shaking that suggests potential transmission issues. It would be beneficial if these issues could be addressed promptly. Additionally, there is considerable paint damage at the back, accompanied by a broken piece of hatched plastic. Despite these concerns, the overall quality of the truck is satisfactory.

The process went smoothly, and the customer service was good.

The process went smoothly, and the customer service was good. I am happy with the car I picked and its low mileage. Later, I contacted customer service about the missing front floor mats, and they said all cars don't include them. I was a bit sad because I didn't want to ruin the original carpet. I even suggested driving to the hub to get them. I guess I’ll have to buy them myself, even after paying $249.00 for membership. Honestly, I didn't feel like a important customer. But I guess rules are rules.

Between 11 and 11:15 am today

Between 11 and 11:15 am today, I had a concerning encounter with a Flexcar driver. Their white truck was speeding excessively on 285 South, going over 90 MPH. This reckless driving nearly caused me to crash into an 18-wheeler while I had my kids in the car. I reported the incident to the police, providing whatever details I could gather, including the observation that the driver seemed to have long blonde hair. It was a dangerous situation that could have had serious consequences.

I appreciate this chance. Though I

I appreciate this chance. Though I can manage a standard car payment, finding a service that bundles insurance, maintenance, and roadside assistance into one fee is quite unique. As an accountant, I question the profitability of Flexcar, but prioritizing a strong customer community and dominating demand with quality services seems more crucial! Kudos to Flexcar for providing this option, and I hope they continue to thrive and expand their reach!

We’ve liked having a car that runs smoothly

We’ve liked having a car that runs smoothly and always getting my concerns handled quickly. Honestly, I’m not fond of having to pay immediately when the miles run out; it would be better if it were added to the final bill or if there was some time to settle it. But overall, it’s been a great experience so far, and I’m being honest. The customer service has been very good.

The concept is promising, yet the

The concept is promising, yet the speed at which mileage is consumed becomes apparent only when the bill arrives. The cost doesn't align with practical usage; a more reasonable mileage package is warranted. Limited travel options leave me confined to the monotonous routine of commuting between work and home, which is somewhat disheartening.

I returned the car as

I returned the car as requested, but they claimed it wasn't returned and even reported it as stolen. The harassment I faced was absolutely ridiculous. Even when they had possession of the car, they told me they had it. I won't be dealing with them again, and I wouldn't recommend them to family or friends.

extra billing

They billed me for an extra month while my car was at repair, I gave them a police report to claim insurance from the truck that crashed into my car. However, they still charged me the $500 deductible. I have never written a bad review yet, and I'm only doing so now to save other people trouble.

The company is okay,

The company is okay, but it would be better if they had more miles or unlimited miles. I got the car for backup, but now I have to use it a lot, which makes it costly with paying for miles. But Flex made it easy to get the car. No other issues, maybe they could give bonus miles monthly.

I had a problem with my rental

I had a problem with my rental car when the battery died, and they wouldn't provide a loaner. Plus, they insisted that I had to be at home for the dead car to be towed. On top of that, there were lots of extra charges I wasn't informed about. I wouldn't suggest using this company.

Sign up was easy, but car was not

Sign up was easy, but car was not good when delivered. Interior had many marks and debris. Third row seat won't fold down right. Cleaning is my job or pay heavy fee. Changing plans is confusing. Wish I could choose plan for next cycle. Billing is confusing too.
