Beware: Fareporto is the ultimate travel scam you need to avoid.

Beware: Fareporto is the ultimate travel scam you need to avoid. Imagine booking a 'discount' flight only to find yourself in a nightmare of hidden fees and deceptive practices. From the moment I received a confirmation email riddled with errors, I knew something was off. They promised e-tickets in 4 hours—I waited, but nothing. Instead, I received a confusing email from an unknown sender, signaling the beginning of their shady game. Turns out, Fareporto operates from an Indian call center, where chaos reigns as they lure you in with low fares, only to reveal absurd 'promo' conditions: no baggage, no seat choice, and more surprises at every turn. When I demanded a cancellation, they turned aggressive, threatening a full fare loss unless I paid an extra $120 each way for basic amenities—except, they hadn't even booked my ticket yet. Save yourself the stress and money. Don't fall for Fareporto's trap like I did. Stick with trusted brokers like Expedia for transparent, hassle-free bookings. Your travel plans deserve better.

Meet Katherine and Roy—your new flight-saving heroes!

Meet Katherine and Roy—your new flight-saving heroes! Picture this: you're booking a flight, feeling a bit lost, when these two swoop in to rescue you. Katherine not only helped me fix a booking blunder but also saved me some serious $$$! Roy picked up seamlessly where Katherine left off, ensuring a smooth journey ahead. Their patience and professionalism made all the difference. But hold up—here's where things got rocky: the initial booking website was a maze of mixed messages. Conflicting info on baggage rules left me scratching my head. And don't get me started on the credit card verification saga—it felt like a wild goose chase! Even reaching out for help didn't pan out—I left a message, but crickets. Don't let confusion derail your plans. Follow my lead: stick with pros like Katherine and Roy for hassle-free travels. They've got your back where others drop the ball!

Did your last travel booking turn into a nightmare?

Did your last travel booking turn into a nightmare? Imagine, I snagged discounted tickets online, but the surprise came later. No mention of extra verification needed in the confirmation email or on the website itself. When I tried to cancel, guess what? Not only was it impossible, but there were no refunds either! To top it off, the flight prices shot up, leaving me to shuffle my travel plans. Talk about frustrating! This travel agency has been my worst experience yet. Don’t make the same mistake.

Avoid this company at all costs.

Avoid this company at all costs. They engaged in deceptive practices, taking payment without fulfilling the booking, resulting in a dropped reservation. To add insult to injury, they demanded additional funds to switch to a less favorable flight time, citing baggage issues. Resolving this debacle required bank intervention, card cancellation, and an inconvenient trip to the airport for a new booking. Save yourself the hassle – steer clear of this unscrupulous operation. Prepare to share this cautionary tale across all online platforms to prevent others from falling victim to their dubious practices.

What a sneaky move!

What a sneaky move! Bought a ticket, all excited, and bam – no heads up about the "no carry-on or suitcase" situation. They hit you with the news later but want you to cough up extra for an upgrade. Say what? And then, the classic "you can't cancel, we'll still take your money" spiel. But don't fall for it! Just cancel that card, get a new one, and poof – they can't snatch your money. Shady, shady move from this airline.

Please stay from fareporto.com. They are fraud

Fraud people I booked tickets showing less price and then next morning a guy brought up all hidden charges out, saying the ticket was with restricted facilities. I booked ticket from SFO to LHR. On booking they never informed me about what restrictions are there. BIG restriction was - No luggage allowed. Crap, who will travel internationally without any luggage. These guys are fraud. Creating situation where they trap cusotmers into situation where now customer needs to go for upgrades. Long story short - I wasted my many hours, don't want to waste your time with long reviews. I would just tell you in one line. Don't trust ever FarePorto. This is fraud company. And one more thing I would like to add here. They emailed me saying - By responding to this email, approve us to charge your xyz amount of money from abc card. I was really not comfortable. So I didn't respond them anything. but still they charged me, without my approvals. In short stay away. I don't want anyone else to get in this situation, so taking time out and writing this long review. Please stay from fareporto.com. They are fraud.

The supposedly cheap ticket is a bait

The supposedly cheap ticket is a bait-and-switch – you can't bring any luggage without a hefty upgrade fee, making it pricier than booking directly with an airline. The customer service is appalling, resorting to bullying tactics for upgrades and subjecting you to agonizingly long holds. My attempt to seek assistance lasted an exhausting hour and 15 minutes. While they may technically provide tickets, the hidden costs and manipulative pricing tactics verge on scam territory. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for transparent and fair travel options.

Fare Porto scam

This company is a complete scam. We bought $430 tickets just for them to call us and say we needed to pay $900 if we wanted to bring luggage onto the flight. They also charged my card $590 instead of the $430 it read on the website and receipt I was sent. I cancelled my card and reported it as fraud. They should be reported to the police.

What a rollercoaster with these

What a rollercoaster with these guys. Soon as I booked, they hit me up saying my flight wouldn't cover any carryons or baggage, no online check-in, and they couldn't guarantee me a seat. Big red flags, right? I told them to hit the brakes, and suddenly they're acting like the airline already took my cash, even though the confirmation email said no charge yet. Quick thinking – called up the bank, canceled that card, and reported these folks as fraud. Lucky move too, 'cause no charges stuck before the card went kaput. Their customer service is a real headache, but thank the Visa gods for having your back on this one. Whew! Dodged a bullet there.

My experience with this travel agency

My experience with this travel agency was a complete nightmare. They billed me $484, then informed me I couldn't bring any luggage. The flight details changed, promising a first-class upgrade with free baggage, but I never received a confirmation. At the airport, I discovered they hadn't paid for the ticket. Dealing with fraud and closing my account was an additional hassle. I strongly advise against using this company, and they should be held accountable for their actions.

I regret choosing this travel agency.

I regret choosing this travel agency. They conveniently withhold crucial information about basic economy until after you've purchased your ticket—no seat selection, no carry-on, and no luggage. The surprise charges for tickets on another airline are outrageous. The initial ticket price they quote ends up being doubled with sneaky additions to amended tickets. Beware of their lack of transparency and consider other options for a more straightforward travel experience.

Concerns arise as Ace Cooper never

Concerns arise as Ace Cooper never discussed our travel plans; only Ruby and Rio did. Despite reassurances from Rio about a name change, we were later informed about luggage restrictions and potential seating issues, requiring a costly upgrade. Skepticism looms over the flight experience. A review update hinges on a smoother journey, but current service leaves much to be desired.

Totally on board with

Totally on board with the scam call on this company. They conveniently forgot to mention some crucial info (hello, no luggage allowed), and guess what? Nowhere to be found on their site. Sneaky, sneaky. Good move on canceling the credit card before they could pull off that charge. Dodged a bullet there!

Scammers

This my true experience with this merchant I booked 2 tickets on the site. As per the price on site. Just got a confirmation then got a call that the price is more than what I seen .so told them I need to cancel this ticket. And was told will be a cancellation fee plus I have paid for the ticket . Never got any email regarding this cancellation or ticket. Check my bank account and see my money of $538 was take out . I try to call them but didn’t get my refund back also my bank try and was told that the ticket was booked by a 3 rd party so I can get my refund many time I try to contact them but no refund. I also try to call am airlines directly and was told that this flight was booked and the send the ticket to different email so I couldn’t see it and the can’t help me . They are ripoff and know how to do it to customers who don’t pay the extra price. Please I am advising to all don’t book with this merchant you Will lose your money.

Scammers!!!

We booked an emergency flight for a funeral and one they didn’t buy the flight they tried to charge us $217 to add my wife’s purse to be carried on board and then tried to charge $170 per flight. They didn’t charge my wife’s credit card for over four hours so they apparently never really made her itinerary. After three hours we called United for the itinerary number and they didn’t have it! Checking flights now they were over $700 versus $417 that they quoted us. Trying to charge her $217 to carry on her purse!!!!! We end up getting it for $593 with a seat choice and a carry-on bag. This company does not speak English and they will argue with you saying they are right and United will be billing us I’ve flown for 20 years and never had an experience like this! If I could leave negative one review that would be more accurate. Overall grade is F minus!

Don't deal with this company

They advertised a much lower fare than the airline, so I got suckered into booking the flight for 2 of us. When I got the confirmation, the price for 2 tickets showed up for only 1 passenger. When I called them, I could hardly understand the agent's heavy accent. He said the price was for 2 tickets, but it sure didn't look like it from the confirmation. Then I found out you couldn't bring any luggage at all, not even a carry-on. He wanted to charge me another $200 for the luggage and said something about being in a separate cabin (?). It all sounded so fishy that I told him to just cancel the reservation. He insisted that they don't accept cancellations and don't issue refunds. After some arguing back and forth, I just hung up, called my bank and cancelled my credit card (as many other reviewers seem to have had to do).

SCAM

Good thing I called my bank and canceled the transaction only 10 hours had elapsed and transaction was pending! The Bait you with a cheap flight then call you and tell you it was a promo flight and that no luggage can be brought on board but eager to help you find another flight for $900.00 more lol... They send you a copy of the reservation claiming it's an e-ticket but its just a copy of the reservation that's it, claimed you could pick your seats and that they had already assigned seats that was a lie! because when I checked the arline site did not show this to be true. When I asked do I have to check in 48 hours before the scammer said oh no we will do it for you! Riiiight! ... BIG RES FLAGS from the begging... cancel before the transaction goes th ru!

It’s a scam.. don’t use it

Fareporto is a scam.. they offer very low fares on the website, then they say it’s not refundable and no cancellation.. and they send you email with a reference number that never exists.. and when I called the original airline, they told me that no confirmation with this number and no tickets.. they don’t write anything on the website and then put lots of restrictions on the tickets, like no baggage or even personal item for international flight!!! And you can’t get your e-tickets except 2 or 1 day before your travel date! And if the flight is cancelled or delayed, you get no compensation! In conclusion, this website is just a scam, don’t use it and don’t let them trap you.

Never work with this agency

I worked with Roger David. He said I will received tickets from airline company in 24 hrs max, but after 45hrs I still didn't received it. Also they tricked with cheap price, but somewhat my trip date was changed. I need to change it, but he said I can't unless I pay $250 per person more. So when I checked with other major companies it was $1500, but with this agency I paid $1780. Rip off. I was so angry. I am so worried that I can't receive tickets. Never never work with unknown companies. I had experience with Travelocity too.

FAREPORTO IS A SCAM

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS WEBSITE. IT IS A SCAM. I would give a zero rating if possible. I tried to cancel within minutes of clicking the scammer's button. The next day the rep "William Wood" with a foreign accent called and claimed they didn't get the email canceling the booking and trying to charge my credit card. The international flight is standby booking only. DO NOT DO IT. DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE. The rep was rude.

This is a great illustration of what good

This is a great illustration of what good customer service should be. ACE COOPER worked hard to get me the best deal for my travel needs. We had a couple of issues at the start, but he handled them perfectly, and I didn’t need to stress about anything. By the end, I felt confident that everything was sorted out, and we got the best travel arrangements for a fair price. Thanks a lot!

I spoke with Jessie for more than an hour.

I spoke with Jessie for more than an hour. He helped me with my flight booking and confirmed everything was set. Later, Brooklyn called and said he had sent me the e-tickets while I was on the line with Jessie. It seems they must be a team. Both were courteous, but Jessie put in extra effort. Thanks!

Sophia Jackson assisted me with check-in

Sophia Jackson assisted me with check-in and provided my return boarding passes, just like she did for my initial departure. This stood out to me as a distinctive and uncommon service compared to handling it independently.

We experienced a slight improvement

We experienced a slight improvement in scheduling flexibility compared to the website, but the counselor's pace was somewhat sluggish. Unfortunately, we faced challenges finalizing our preferred date as anticipated.
