Beware of Hidden Charges and Unresponsive Customer Support
I downloaded the Astroline app with the intention of exploring its features during the trial period, which cost just $5. My plan was to see if the app suited my needs before committing further. However, during my exploration, I accidentally clicked a button, and without any verification or confirmation, I was immediately charged $29.99 for in-app content. When I realized the mistake, I reached out to customer service, explained the situation, and requested a refund. Unfortunately, they refused to help, stating policies that do not take into account accidental purchases. As a customer, I feel tricked and defrauded. A reputable app should use at least a two-step verification process for purchases, ensuring customers are not charged for accidental clicks. It’s unreasonable to expect someone who is only paying $5 to explore the app to immediately commit to such a high purchase. I strongly advise caution to anyone considering downloading this app. The lack of proper purchase safeguards and unhelpful customer service make for a frustrating and disappointing experience.
