Unfortunately, someone caused some minor damage to our rental car while it was parked. XCover is a flight insurance company that can not be relied on. I had booked a ticket to visit my 100-year old grandfather in Texas, hoping to see him before it was too late. Since I have four sons and my oldest has been going through a hard time with mental health, I decided to get flight insurance from XCover (Cover Genius, parent company). As my flight date got closer, my son had a serious setback. His social worker and therapist strongly adviced that I should not leave, so I canceled my trip. I uploaded my son's medical history, diagnosis, and an official letter from his social worker and therapist explaining why I could not leave. Despite giving XCover all the needed documents, my claim was instantly denied. They asked for more paperwork, which I sent, but the claim was denied again the same day. I tried a third time, leaving a note asking someone to please call me so we could talk about why my claim kept getting rejected, even with all the right documents. No one ever called back. I was really surprised by how quickly my claims were denied, even though I gave everything they asked for, including full medical records and an official letter from professionals. As a father of four, I have never dealt with a company like XCover (Cover Genius) that refuses claims so fast, keeps asking for more documents, but then still says no—even when given exactly what they asked for. And they do all this without ever responding or giving a way to speak to them. Really shocking.

We booked a trip package through Priceline and decided to get the 'XCover' to protect us in case of any medical emergencies or cancellations. Our trip is in 10 days, but we both tested positive for Covid yesterday. When we tried to use the form on xcover./claim, it didn't work, and the phone support doesn't have live agents. Priceline has been unhelpful, rude, and making this whole process more difficult.

My experience with this insurance has been very poor as a business owner. I received many products with major damage and couldn't claim the amount listed in the policy. I also haven't been able to reach anyone to explain the low amount offered or provide any details.

Also using the trade name xcover (and maybe other names) I KNOW from experience these don’t follow legal rules. Lost our hard earned cash because I was told I had full cover. But I didn’t. Lost all flight money. 👎 (( like you can see their reply is automatic!! I got the same answer to my review on xcover )) & yes I will be replying by email & will change my review if they answer ))

Parent of X-Cover Insurance

since cover genius is the parent company for X-Cover insurance I feel it is only fair to let people know just what a scam it is. Six months later and still no refund. Last go around they wanted certificates of family members death, marriage, and birth. If this is not a scam company what would be another word for it. Just be decent, give us our refund.

They have no customer service contact telephone They are promoted through apparently legitimate companies , but seem like a scam.
