I had a pretty frustrating experience with my insurance provider in September. Needed a basic loss run for my professional liability insurance, and it took several calls, redirects, and emails to finally get it. To make things worse, my recurring payment was scheduled for the day after my renewal, so I had to make an emergency manual payment to avoid any lapse in coverage. Ended up finding more expensive insurance elsewhere and called to cancel with Biberk. Followed their instructions, submitted my email, and heard nothing. Three weeks later, I called again, was told to resubmit due to an error in my first request. Asked about a refund estimate but they couldn’t help me there since it’s an accounting thing. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant, but it didn’t really solve my problem.

My year-long association with them for an E&O policy turned sour when a surprise audit was demanded on my firm's revenues, never disclosed initially. I explicitly requested coverage for a specific business segment, which the advisor approved. However, a year later, I was informed that this was against their policy. Canceling the policy exposed their unprofessionalism, as my account was handed over to rude and inappropriate collection attorneys, who even contacted my wife's employer. Such conduct is utterly unacceptable and warrants caution for potential clients.

I've been using BiBerk for my business insurance for almost 5 years without any issues, always paid my premiums on time and never made a claim. Recently though, I started getting hit with audits for my old workers' comp policies. One audit even said I overpaid and was due an $8,000 refund, but I never got it. Now, I'm being invoiced for hundreds on a policy I canceled over 6 months ago. Customer service is a nightmare; I can hear kids crying in the background, and they seem clueless. I'm getting harassed with calls and mail about old policies, and there's no resolution in sight. It's the worst experience I've had with any business.

I got quotes from biBERK and Hiscox. biBERK offered $41.25/month for 1MIL E&O with $500 deductible plus 250K Cyber, while Hiscox quoted $84.38/month with a higher cyber deductible. Just as I was thinking about which to choose, one of biBERK's team members called me. She was really polite and professional, but I can't remember her name. She connected me with Jay Merwald, who explained everything clearly. This company is an absolute disappointment. My bumper repair, stemming from a collision with a negligent biberk client, has stretched to an agonizing 4 months. Kizzy Lee's unprofessionalism is glaring, marked by zero effort and abysmal communication. The initially provided estimate proved laughable, failing to cover essential paint costs. Despite multiple support escalations, the response has been dishearteningly non-existent. My skepticism has reached a peak, leading me to pursue commercial claim action. Avoid this company at all costs; it's reminiscent of the infamous 2007 Comcast debacle.

I wouldn't recommend this Insurance company. Dealing with them has been a hassle. While their customer service representatives are polite, reaching them is a pain due to long queues. Initially, they appeared responsive during sign-up for a commercial auto policy, but addressing concerns proved futile. The lack of notification to the California DMV about Proof of Insurance led to penalties for vehicle registration reinstatement. Despite their reputation, Berkshire Hathaway's performance in this business segment falls short, and I regret not considering negative reviews before enrolling.

Man, feels like a scam

Man, feels like a scam to me. At first, they showed a super cheap price, which looked great. But once I got into the policy, the cost just skyrocketed. I added another vehicle and upped my coverage, and suddenly my monthly went from $700 to $4500. That’s insane! How can anyone afford that, especially if you're just starting out with a business? The whole thing seems really sketchy and unfair. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
