Ryobi's wet-dry vac falls short in terms

Ryobi's wet-dry vac falls short in terms of suction power, struggling even with minor tasks like cleaning up potato chip crumbs. My initial unit was completely non-functional, and attempts to contact the company proved futile, leaving me frustrated and unheard. After resorting to online search and contacting a different business under a similar name, I eventually received a replacement unit. Unfortunately, the replacement proved equally ineffective in picking up crumbs, leading to disappointment and dissatisfaction. It's advisable to retain your receipt, as you may find yourself needing it for a refund, prompting a switch to a different brand. Additionally, it's worth noting that the vac doesn't come with a battery, and even if you invest in one separately, the battery life is subpar, maxing out at a mere 20 minutes.

I've had a regrettable experience with Ryobi tools

I've had a regrettable experience with Ryobi tools, particularly concerning their warranty process. Despite my blower being well within the 3-year warranty, complications arose with the extended warranty, which was not clearly communicated. Disappointed, I contacted Mr. Lee Goff at Ryobi to express my concerns about the warranty confusion. Unfortunately, my attempts were met with complete silence—no response or acknowledgment. This lack of responsiveness and apparent disregard for customer complaints is disconcerting. It suggests that, beyond the potential longevity issues of their tools, the customer service lacks the expected diligence and care. Prospective buyers should exercise caution, considering the potential challenges and unresponsiveness in addressing customer concerns.

I recently bought the FVL51K flashlight from Ryobi on 1/4/24, and my experience has been disappointing. Following the charging instructions, I used it on high for about 2.25 hrs., after which it inexplicably switched to low. Upon recharging, it began strobing uncontrollably, and Ryobi's customer service claimed it was intended behavior. The lack of information about not using it on high, neither on the package nor online, is frustrating. The advertised 18hrs. runtime did not specify the limited 2hrs. on high. Despite having a supposedly more powerful 3amp battery, customer support insisted it wouldn't outlast the 2amp. Overall, not a satisfying purchase.

Disappointingly, my experience with

Disappointingly, my experience with Ryobi's customer service has been utterly frustrating. Despite being within the 5-year warranty, my $500 self-propelled 40v lawnmower malfunctioned. I reached out to Ryobi five times, enduring over an hour of hold time on each call. While they agreed to fix the mower, obtaining a shipping label proved impossible. Home Depot deflected responsibility, emphasizing it was Ryobi's concern. This lack of support and communication raises concerns about deceptive trade practices. I would caution against purchasing Ryobi products from Home Depot based on this disheartening encounter.

Cautionary note for potential buyers

Cautionary note for potential buyers: Ryobi's warranty is essentially non-existent. Despite initially liking the product, my experience with the Warranty Department has been a colossal disappointment. After investing over 50 hours in futile attempts to reach them since March, my product remains broken. Even a letter to HQ in June yielded no response. Promised call-backs from a manager have gone unfulfilled, leaving me with a malfunctioning product and an expired warranty. Consider your decision to purchase a Ryobi product as if it comes without any warranty support.

I was in need of a new electric drill and decided to explore Ryobi, as recommended by a friend. My online research left me with several unanswered questions, prompting a call to Ryobi's 1-800 number. A staggering 3 hours and 45 minutes on hold tested my patience. Attempting their "chat" option proved futile, as it redirected me to the same unhelpful 1-800 number. To my dismay, the representative who finally answered at the 3-hour mark abruptly hung up. This frustrating experience has left me hesitant about choosing Ryobi for my purchase.

After acquiring a second home out of

After acquiring a second home out of state, I sought cordless power tools for planned renovations. Having extensive construction experience, I've tried various brands. Luckily, I stumbled upon a combo kit at a Home Depot sale. The tools proved reliable with commendable battery life. I've since expanded my collection and recently added a leaf blower. The company offers quality tools at reasonable prices, making it a solid choice for practical buyers.

Last autumn, I got a cordless leaf

Last autumn, I got a cordless leaf blower from Home Depot. You never really know what you're getting until you try it at home. It worked right away and still works fine. I kinda regret not getting the strongest one though. They had a few options with different power levels. You live and learn, I guess. It's like cutting wood; better to cut it longer so you can trim it if needed, rather than cutting it too short and not being able to add to it later.

Encountered a problem with one

Encountered a problem with one of their vehicles. While navigating a merging point on the road, the Ryobitools truck, situated in the adjacent lane near my blind spot, abruptly accelerated to cut me off. This forced me to brake abruptly, given the merged lanes. To add to the frustration, the driver then proceeded to make gestures, implying that I was the reckless party in the situation.

I'm quite satisfied with its performance

I'm quite satisfied with its performance. It works exceptionally well for my needs. The only improvement I would suggest is making the dust collector bag larger; it tends to fill up quickly. Nonetheless, the overall store service was excellent, and I appreciated the competitive pricing. If you're in the market for reliable tools, this store is worth considering.

I got the Ryobi 40V 15 in. cordless battery

I got the Ryobi 40V 15 in. cordless battery string trimmer. Model # RY40ST01K. I tried it twice. First time it worked about 1/2 hr. 2nd time 45 min with many breaks because I was tired holding it. It's not strong enough for tough weeds. I'm swapping it for Model #RY40250 which should last 71 min. We'll see.

Absolutely terrible customer service.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I needed information on a new battery, but they don't even make it anymore. Their response? Just a simple "sorry for the inconvenience." That's not just inconvenient, it's really bad service. Even reaching out on Facebook for help from Ryobi didn't yield any results.

Adore the tools, but deeply disappointed with the service. Currently enduring a 90-minute phone wait to inquire about the replacement of two faulty batteries promised three months ago—yet to materialize. This prolonged delay has left me irked and dissatisfied with the overall customer experience.

I acquired a Ryobi glue gun that unfortunately malfunctioned, resulting in a severe burn on my thumb and a lasting scar. Regrettably, attempts to communicate with the company have been met with silence, leaving me discontent with both the defective product and the unresponsive customer service.

Spending 45 mins on hold

Spending 45 mins on hold with Ryobi's parts repair number (877-634-5704) was awful. Not gonna buy Ryobi stuff anymore if they act like a deadbeat dad. Finally got a call back, but Ryobi needs more customer service folks if they wanna keep their customers.

Purchased a Ryobi 40-volt

Purchased a Ryobi 40-volt blower/vacuum RY404015 for over four hundred dollars. Used it twice and it's not functioning. This product was a total letdown. I wouldn't suggest it, and I won't be purchasing any Ryobi products in the future.

After getting it, I waited some months

After getting it, I waited some months before charging the Ryobi batteries. I was worried they might not charge. But they did and pretty fast! I love the lights on the battery showing charge. Really happy with this buy from Home Depot.

I'm liking my new leaf blower

I'm liking my new leaf blower and edger. They're so handy and light. Even my wife can use them with ease. Plus, they use the same 18-volt battery as my old tools. Charging the battery is quick, and it lasts long.
