    Our recent experience with the Welsh Escape

    Our recent experience with the Welsh Escape was well organized and informative. Our tour guide, Julie Anne, was very helpful, friendly, and knew a lot. Unfortunately, our flight got cancelled when we left home, which meant we arrived a day and a half late in London. Despite the delay, Julie Anne quickly took care of all the necessary paperwork. We were still able to complete the Stonehenge tour and bus ride through Wales. The hotels were comfortable, and the schedule was well thought out. The bus driver did a great job too. This was our fifth trip with Globus, and we were once again satisfied.

    The trip was well-planned, and the schedule was followed closely. We got to enjoy a few extra excursions, and the tour guides were good. Some of the tours started a bit early, which made us feel tired, and there weren't many food options for vegetarians. As vegetarians, we prefer more variety, not just salads or grilled vegetables, which got a bit boring after a while. Despite this, we had the chance to see a lot, and the whole experience in Greece was very motivating.

    The highlight of our trip was definitely the tour director, Chris Heatherley. He was a true professional—organized, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. He managed the hotels and check-ins without any hassle, made sure no one was left behind, and kept the group engaged throughout. Chris really made the experience enjoyable. Thanks again, Chris!

    The driver and tour guide were awesome!

    The driver and tour guide were awesome! Miguel was really helpful with advice on what to check out, where to eat, and gave great tips based on our interests. He also recommended good ways to get around. Rui was a good driver and made sure to chat with us too. The friendly staff really do make it better!

    Our tour guide, Armando, and our driver

    Our tour guide, Armando, and our driver, Eddie, were great! We travel often, and they definitely stood out as one of the better teams we've had. That said, the size of the group was overwhelming. We've never been on a trip so crowded—42 people! It was clear the company found it more profitable to pack us all in, but it led to longer wait times and several issues. We had 6 people get sick with what seemed like a virus, one person had to return home for health reasons, another had a suspected heart issue and had to go to the hospital, and one person even left a purse behind. It made the trip more challenging, but our guide did his best to manage everything calmly. It also caused some stress for everyone, as we were all looking out for each other. I think if the group was split into two, there might have been fewer health problems, especially with the virus. In the future, I'll definitely ask about the group size before booking. We weren’t ready for a “city” on wheels!
